Phonag Records is the leading Swiss independent music label and repertoire company with roots dating back to 1960.

Looking for a fresh start into a new era, Katja Waldburger, Co-CEO of Phonag Records, approached OtS for a brand update and a new website. The project was kicked off with a brand workshop, aiming to define who Phonag Records is as a brand, their values, goals, target audience and more. From there, Overthought Studio created a refreshed brand identity, including a new typography concept, color palette, as well as an updated version of the iconic Phonag Records logo and more.

Throughout this project, an important challenge was striking the right balance between old and new – respecting the cult company's roots while bringing across the start of a new chapter. The new Phonag Records website works with large images, clean type and smooth interactions to create a modern and yet comfortable user experience. This multilingual website was realized with Weglot and Webflow.
